Front Office Assistant
Valerie works in the front office at Atiga Family Practice. She enjoys helping patients and creating a welcoming experience. She has worked in the medical field for over 20 years. During that time, she has worked in the ICU as a unit secretary and also in ER as an admissions and collections clerk. During her time away from work, she enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband and daughter, and her fur baby.

Born in Mexico and raised in San Diego, California, Leslie developed a strong appreciation for family, community, and helping others. Family means everything to Leslie and has always been the biggest source of motivation and support. Leslie enjoys playing the accordion, spending time with her dog Rex, and creating lasting memories with family. A lifelong and dedicated San Diego Padres fan, Leslie proudly supports the team no matter what. From a young age, Leslie has always been interested in the medical field and passionate about caring for others. Helping people and making a positive difference in their lives has always been important. Building strong relationships with patients is a priority, with a belief that compassion, communication, and trust are essential in healthcare. Leslie is committed to continuing education and professional growth in the medical field, with plans to return to school in the future to become a Nurse Practitioner. Leslie hopes to continue growing professionally while making a lasting impact in the lives of patients and the community.

Daisy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she developed a passion for living an active and adventurous lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods, off-roading, riding bikes, and spending time at the beach, especially during the summer. She values creating lasting memories with family and friends and enjoys exploring new places and experiences.
She attended Carrington College, where she completed the Medical Assisting (MA) program. During her time there, she was recognized on the Dean’s List for her academic achievements and had the honor of serving as ASB President. These experiences helped her strengthen her leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Daisy’s passion for healthcare comes from her desire to help others and make a positive impact in people’s lives. Her long-term goal is to attend physician assistant (PA) school and become a physician assistant so she can continue providing compassionate, high-quality patient care while growing professionally in the medical field.

As she takes her first steps in medicine, she is committed to expanding her knowledge and gaining valuable experience while working toward her long-term goal of becoming a Registered Nurse.
Known for her soft-spoken nature, compassion, and strong work ethic, Jenny strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those she serves. At Atiga Family Practice, she takes pride in providing comfort, support, and quality care to patients, helping create a welcoming and reassuring environment for everyone who walks through the door.
Jenny’s caring personality and dedication to helping others are reflected in both her professional and personal life. She values meaningful connections and believes that empathy and kindness are essential components of excellent patient care.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and exploring the beauty of nature. She approaches life with curiosity, determination, and a genuine desire to make a difference in lives of others and herself.
Medical Assistant
Marylene brings over 15 years of healthcare experience to the team. Always eager to learn, she also holds a surgical tech certification that gave her a deep understanding of human anatomy. Her extensive background includes 15 years specializing in exercise therapy for Parkinson’s and post-recovery breast cancer patients, making her an expert in patient education and comfort. A big sports and fitness fan, she spends her free time at the gym, hiking, cooking, or at concerts, and loves relaxing with her husband, children, and her two cats, Pablo and Zoey.
